Temperature
High temperatures are generated during compression. Touching hot components may cause inju‐
ries.
➤ Avoid contact with hot components.
These include, for example, compressor blocks, pressure lines, coolers, motors and machine
heaters.
➤ Wear protective clothing.
➤ If welding is carried out on or near the machine take adequate measures to ensure that no
parts of the machine can ignite from of sparks or heat.
Noise
The housing absorbs the machine noise to a tolerable level. This function will be effective only if
the housing is closed.
➤ Operate the machine only with intact sound insulation.
➤ Wear ear protection if necessary.
Safety valve blow-off results in high noise emission.
Operating fluids/materials
The operating fluids and materials used can cause adverse health effects. Suitable safety meas‐
ures must be taken in order to prevent injuries.
➤ Strictly forbid fire, open flame and smoking.
➤ Follow safety regulations when dealing with chemical substances.
➤ Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
➤ Do not breathe vapours.
➤ Do not eat or drink while operating fluieds/materials.
➤ Keep suitable fire-extinguishing media ready for use.
➤ Use only KAESER approved operating materials.
Unsuitable spare parts
Unsuitable spare parts compromise the safety of the machine.
➤ Use only spare parts approved by the manufacturer for use in this machine.
➤ Use only original KAESER spare parts on pressure bearing parts.
Conversion or modification of the machine
Modifications, additions or conversions to or of the machine can result in unpredictable hazards.
➤ Do not convert or modify the machine!
➤ Obtain written approval by the manufacturer prior to any technical modification or expansion of
the machine.
Extending or modifying the compressed air station
If dimensioned appropriately, safety valves reliably prevent an impermissible pressure rise. New
dangers may arise if you modify or extend the compressed air station.
