Visually check for damages
1. Undo both screw plugs

and take off the belt guard

2. Turn the pulley by hand so that all of the belt can be inspected for damage.
3. In case of damage: Replace the drive belt immediately.
4. Refit the belt guard

and secure with the screw plugs

Replacing the drive belts
The drive motor must be moved in its bracket to change the belt. Use the appropriate tool and sup‐
port the motor during belt changing.
1. Undo both screw plugs

and take off the belt guard
6

2. Loosen the tensioning nut
3
by approximately 0.4 in.
3. Remove the fixing screws
1
.
4. Loosen the pivot point fixing screw
2
only enough to allow the motor to shift to the side.
5. Pivot the motor to the side and fix it in position with a screw
1
.
6. Place the new belt over the pulleys.
7. Ensure that all fixing screws
1
are loosened.
8. Tighten the belt by means of the tensioning nut
3
until the markings
4
coincide.
9. Tighten one fixing screw
1
to hold the motor in place then tighten the rest
1
and
2
.
10. Refit the belt guard
6
and secure with the screw plugs
7
.
Result The drive belt is sufficiently tensioned.
It is not necessary to re-tension the belt.
10.8 Checking the cooling oil level
The sightglass allows a risk-free reading of the cooling oil level. The oil indicator should be fully
filled with oil when the machine is at standstill. The correct oil level cannot be seen.
