Firmware update
IMPORTANT
Neither the power supply nor the connection to the programming interface may be interrupted during
a firmware update
Task
Illumination unit/Compact
Reader
1. Switch off the power supply at the reader
- the access point is blocked for the entire time
2.
Set DIP switch 6 to ON
and connect the power supply
(in the case of an uninterrupted power supply, changing the status of
DIP switch 6 has no effect)
2x short beeps, then
red/green flashing
3. Connect programmer to Compact Reader
Information
If the programmer is already plugged in before the power
supply is connected, the flashing mentioned in the previous step does
not take place. If the programmer is removed before the power is
disconnected, the LEDs flash as in update mode.
Flashing stops,
1x short beep,
LED briefly flashes green twice
4. Select the firmware option in the programmer and download
5. Following a successful Firmware / LEGIC OS download
1x short beep,
LED briefly flashes green twice

Switch off the power supply at the reader,
set DIP switch 6 to OFF
, remove the programmer, and reconnect the
power supply at the reader
7.
Reader is in operation again
Green on
8.
The current parameters of the parent control unit are downloaded if
there is an online connection
- Access point ready for bookings again
