The Main Gallery shows all albums and any prior scans not in an album. You can use the
touchscreen to scroll down through scans. Kaarta has implemented a flat, single hierarchy
for establishing albums, folders, and individual files. File folders are maintained by Contour
to hold an individual scan and any pointclouds that are generated through Contour’s post-
processing tools. For example, if you sharpen one of the pointclouds, the sharpened
pointcloud is put into the same folder as the original. Every time a scan is initiated, a new
folder is created. You can organize the files by creating albums. Folders can then be
selected and moved into a new or existing album. Albums should be named in a manner
that is descriptive of their contents.
Scan Tip:
Albums cannot be nested, so establishing a methodology for
organizing albums by customer or location, combined with unique folder titles,
goes a long way to keeping your scans organized.
Selecting an individual album shows all the folders/files within a single album. A back arrow
in the upper left returns you to the Main Gallery (Figure 15).
