Adjust the Parametric Equalizer
Preparation
• Correct the value in “Listening Position” and “Front
Focus” before adjusting the parametric equalizer.

While auditioning music, move the
peaking filter to the left and right to
search for unpleasant peaks and suppress
them.

Use pink noise and an analyzer to identify
dips, as dips are difficult to find.
Correct steep (10 dB or greater) peaks and
dips as these are generally regarded as
obstructions to sound quality.

Set each parameter as follows.

Speaker
Select the speaker.
When Speaker network is set to 2-way
:
“Common” / “Front” / “Rear” / “Subwoofer”
When Speaker network is set to 3-way
:
“Common” / “Tweeter” / “Middle” / “Woofer”

EQ points/curve
Displays the EQ point and the curve. Adjust the
EQ points by touching.
EQ point (red):
The EQ point currently being
adjusted.
EQ point (blue/yellow):
EQ points that are not
currently being adjusted.
Curve (orange):
EQ curve of the speaker
currently being adjusted.
Curve (blue):
Overall EQ curve.

Filter
Select the filter.
“High Pass” / “High Shelving” / “Peaking” / “Low
Shelving” / “Low Pass”

is selected.
*2 When “Peaking” filter is selected, you can
adjust the Q factor. When “High Pass”or “Low
Pass” filter is selected, you can adjust the slope.
NOTE
• You can adjust the EQ points and curve based on
a preset EQ. Recall the preset EQ and touch the
preset key again to unselect it before adjustment.
