circuits and components specially for s afety purpos es. For
continued protec tion, no c hanges should be made to the original
design unless  authorized  in writing by the manufacturer.
Replacement parts must be identic al to those us ed in the original
circuits. Servic e should be performed by qualified personnel only.

2. Alterations of the design or c ircuitry of the product should not be

made. Any design alterations or additions will void the
manufacturer's warranty and will further relieve the manufacturer
of  responsibility for  pers onal  injury or property damage resulting
therefrom.

3. Many electric al and mec hanic al parts in the product have s pecial

safety-related characteristics. These characteristics are often not
evident from visual inspection nor c an the protec tion afforded by
them necess ary be obtained by using replacement components
rated for higher voltage, wattage, etc . Replacement parts which
have thes e special safety characteristics are identified in the Parts
List of Service Manual. Electric al components having such
features  are identified by shading on the schematics and by (

!

)

on the Parts List in the Servic e Manual. T he use of a substitute
replac ement which does  not have the same safety characteristics
as the recommended replacement part shown in the Parts List of
Service Manual may c aus e shock, fire, or other haz ards.

4. The leads  in the products are routed and dres sed with ties, clamps,

tubing’s, barriers and the like to be separated from live parts, high
temperature parts, moving parts and / or sharp edges for the
prevention of electric shock and fire hazard. When servic e is
required, the original lead routing and dress should be obs erved,
and it should be confirmed that they have been returned to normal,
after re-ass embling.
