RS-232C INTERFACE

Operation Commands
Commands for operating VDR and VCR.
When data is properly received and corresponding command
exists, OA (ACK) is replied and the corresponding operation is
performed.
●
Special Commands
Commands for continuous transmission. When sending of
command fails, procedure starting from acquisition of command
target will have to be performed again.
●
Data Collection Commands
A few bytes of information including the internal information of
decks can be received when these commands are sent.

Description
3A
Plays the selected deck.
3F
Stops the selected deck. Resume will be cleared
when this is pressed while in the Stop mode.
(DVD Deck)
Rec Request will be cleared.
4F
Switches the selected deck to the Still mode.

Eject: DVD Deck: Opens/Closes tray.
VCR Deck: Removes cassette.
AB
FF: DVD Deck: Functions only during playback.
Activates forward search. Forward search speed
increases in step of 2x, 4x, 8x and 16x via each
operation.
VCR Deck: Fast forward. Search Fwd during
playback.
AC
REW: DVD Deck: Functions only during
playback. Activates reverse search. Reverse
search speed increases in step of 2x, 4x, 8x and
16x via each operation.
VCR Deck: Rewind. Search Rev during
playback.
BO
Viss Fwd: DVD Deck: Skips to the next chapter.
VCR Deck: Fast forwards to the start position.
B1
Viss Rev: DVD Deck: Skips to the previous
chapter.
VCR Deck: Rewinds to the start position.
B5
Fwd Shtl: DVD Deck: Functions only during
playback. Activates forward search. Forward
search speed increases in step of 2x, 4x, 8x and
16x via each operation.

playback.

Rev Shtl: DVD Deck: Functions only during

a Rec Request is received.

Rec Pause: Switches the selected deck to the
Rec Pause mode when a Rec Request is
received.

Rec Request: For issuing approval for
recording. This can be cleared using STOP.

Date Sense: For acquiring the currently

Time Sense: For acquiring the currently
configured hour, minute and second. (See

Rec Pause: Switches the selected deck to the
Rec Pause mode when a Rec Request is
received.

Status Sense: For acquiring the deck
information. (See below for data format.)

TC Data Sense: For acquiring the total
remaining time in the current recording mode
when there is a media in the selected deck. (See
below for data format.)

CTL Data Sense: For acquiring the lapse
counter when there is a media in the selected
deck. (See below for data format.)
DD
JVC Data Sense: Returns data from the unit.
