R
C aution on cleaning the unit
D o not use any solvent (for example, thinner,
benzine, etc.), detergent, or insecticide. This may
damage the monitor or the unit.
R ecommended cleaning method:
G ently wipe the panel with a soft, dry cloth.

M oisture condensation
M oisture may condense on the lens inside the unit in
the following cases:
• A fter starting the heater in the car.
• I f it becomes very humid inside the car.
S hould this occur, the unit may malfunction. I n this
case, eject the disc and leave the unit turned on for a
few hours until the moisture evaporates.

How to handle discs
• W hen removing a disc from its case, press down
the center holder of the case and lift the disc out,
holding it by the edges.
– A lways hold the disc by the edges. D o not touch
its recording surface.
• W hen storing a disc in its case, gently insert the
disc around the center holder (with the printed
surface facing up).
– M ake sure to store discs in their cases after use.

T o keep discs clean
D irty discs may not play correctly.
I f a disc does become dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth
in a straight line from center to edge.
• D o not use any solvents (for example,
conventional record cleaner, spray, thinner,
benzine, etc.) to clean discs.

T o play new discs
N ew discs may have some rough spots around the
inner and outer edges. I f such a disc is used, this unit
may reject the disc.
• To remove these rough spots, rub the edges with
a pencil or ball - point pen, etc.

File playback
P laying D ivX files
• This unit can play back D ivX files with the
extension code <.divx>, <.div>, or <.avi>
(regardless of the letter case—upper/lower).
• A udio stream should conform to MP 3 or D olby
D igital.
• F iles encoded in the interlaced scanning mode
may not be played back correctly.
• The maximum bit rate for video signals (average)
is 4 M bps.
P laying MPEG1/MPEG2 files
• This unit can play back MPEG 1/ MPEG 2 files with
the extension code <.mpg>, <.mpeg>, or <.mod>.
• The stream format should conform to MPEG
system/program stream.
The file format should be MP @ ML ( M ain P rofile at
M ain L evel)/ SP @ ML ( S imple P rofile at M ain L evel)/
MP @ LL ( M ain P rofile at L ow L evel).
• A udio streams should conform to MPEG 1 A udio
L ayer - 2 or D olby D igital.
• The maximum bit rate for video signals (average)
is 4 M bps.
P laying JPEG files
• This unit can play back J PEG files with the
extension code <.jpg> or <.jpeg>.
• This unit can play back J PEG files that are at 32 x
32 to 8 192 x 7 680 resolution.
I t may take time to display the file depending on
its resolution.
• This unit can play back baseline J PEG files.
P rogressive J PEG files or lossless J PEG files cannot
be played.
