Purpose
The JuzoFlex Epi Xtra guides the affected elbow in
an anatomically correct way, relieving strain during
movement. Thanks to its bi-elastic knitted fabric in
combination with anatomically shaped pads, the
support applies compression, therefore promoting
lymphatic drainage which results in reduced swelling
and pain alleviation. Proprioception and muscular
auto-stabilisation of the elbow associated with it are
improved.
Here is how to put on your JuzoFlex Epi Xtra
correctly:
1. Grab the elbow support at its upper, shorter sec-
tion and pull the support over the lower arm to-
wards the elbow until the oval, patterned area is
centred in the crook of the arm.
2. The epicondyles (prominences on the distal part
of the elbow) must be located right in the cut-out
of the pressure pads. Please adjust the elbow sup-
port as required
The correct fit of your support is guaranteed when it
firmly surrounds the elbow without applying too much
(potentially painful) pressure on the epicondyles.
Fine adjustment of the elbow support may be made at
any time by repeating steps 1 and 2 above.
Please note:
Only wear your support when prescribed by your phy-
sician. Medical aids should only be dispensed by suit-
ably trained staff of a medical products supplier. The
effectiveness of the support can only be realized if it
is applied correctly. The support is largely resistant to
oils, ointments, skin moisture and other environmen-
tal influences. Certain combinations may negatively
impact on the durability of the fabric. We therefore
recommend that it be examined regularly by the med-
ical products supplier. Should the product become
damaged, please consult your specialist supplier.
Do not repair the support yourself – this could com-
promise its quality and medical efficacy. For hygienic
reasons, the support is not suitable for treating more
than one patient.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label
of your support. Wash the support on a gentle or del-
icate wash cycle at approx. 30 °C. Wash the support
separately the first time (colour may run). When hand
washing, please rinse the support well and leave it
to dry – lying flat if possible – at room temperature.
Do not wring it out. We recommend using gentle Juzo
special detergent for this. You can reduce the drying
time by placing the support on a thick towel, rolling
the towel up tightly and firmly pressing out excess
moisture. Do not leave it in the towel and do not dry
it on a radiator or in the sun. This Juzo product must
not be dry-cleaned.
