if the month has less than 31 days, you
have to set the date manually to
the first day of the following month.
3. chronoscope automatic calibre j880.2
3.1. to start the watch pull out the winder
J
(pos. 3). it is quite adequate to turn the
winder for 2 or 3 revolutions. however, it is
better to fully wind for maximal exactness
and to guarantee an operational reserve
(even after laying the watch down) of
approximately 46 hours.
3.2. setting the time.
please pull the winder J out carefully
(pos. 5). it is now possible to position the
minute hand precisely in line with a minute
interval marker and set the watch to the
desired time. push the winder back to its
original position (pos. 3) until it locks into
place.
3.3. setting the date.
please pull the winder J out carefully
(pos. 4). by turning the winder clockwise, it
is possible to change the date. do not
attempt to change the date between 20:00
and 03:00 hours. between these times the
date is automatically changed by the clock-
work itself which will result in the shift
mechanism being damaged. if the month
has less than 31 days, you will have to
change the date manually to nr 1 of the
following month.
3.4. using the chronoscope
starting time measurement
you start the chronoscope by pressing the
start-stop button
M .
stopping time measurement
you stop the chronoscope by pressing the
start-stop button
M
again.
reset
press the reset button
N . this returns all
three of the chronoscope hands to their
starting position.
adding measured times
after measuring the first time, you can add
times together by pressing the start-stop
button again instead of the reset button.
the chronoscope hands will then continue
running from the stopped position.
