6.
Fit a base foot (C) onto each vertical support.
7.
Inspect that the pool is correctly assembled. Take
hold of the upper frame and shake the pool to check
that all the pins are locked into position. Gently pull
the bottom end of each support outwards to ensure
they are standing perfectly and safely upright.
8.
Plug the three openings in the pool liner (the drain valve and the two filter pump hose connections).
Check that the external plug is firmly screwed into the drain valve. Press the caps on the inside of
the pool into place over each opening. NOTE: Keep the plastic drain adapter (which is in the repair
kit) in a safe place so that you can empty the pool at the end of the season.
9.
Start filling the pool with water. When there is 2 or 3 cm of water, stop filling and smooth out any
folds or creases in the bottom of the pool. Work from the inside of the pool and smooth the liner
outwards, working towards the edge with your feet. Work your way around the pool. Do not press
too hard. Make sure you do not kick the U pipes.
10.
When the bottom of the pool is smooth, continue filling with water almost to the top. Make sure the
pool is filled evenly. IMPORTANT! If you notice, while filling, that the water is collecting on one side
of the pool or if the pool is leaning to one side, stop filling immediately. The site is obviously not
level or the base is not sufficiently smooth. Empty the pool and fix the problem. Or carry (never
pull) the pool to a more suitable site.
IMPORTANT!
Condensation may form on the outside of the pool. This is completely normal immediately after
filling, especially in cooler climates. It is not an indication that anything is wrong. The condensation
will normally disappear within 72 hours of filling with water.
Once the pool has been filled for the season, make sure it is not overfilled by rainwater or
accidental topping up. If this happens, it is important to bail or drain the excess water out of the
pool as soon as possible.
Refer to the manual enclosed with the filter pump. This provides information about correct installation and
use of the filter pump that is supplied with your specific Prompt Set pool system. Note that the filter pump
is designed to remove dirt and other fine particulates from the pool water. The filter pump alone will not
keep your pool water clear and healthy. You will need to add pool chemicals and regularly clean the
surface of the water, vacuum the bottom, etc.
IMPORTANT!
Keep the plastic intake/drain connections in the pool liner plugged in until you have
completely assembled the filter pump.
MAINTENANCE
As mentioned above, the pool comes with a highly efficient filter pump that helps keep the pool water free
of suspended particles. However, the filter pump is only one aspect of the requisite maintenance and
care. Carefully follow the instructions below to keep the pool water clean and hygienic all season:
Correct and consistent use of pool chemicals is required to maintain the proper pH balance in the
water. Moreover, the chemicals help to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and algae in the pool
and help the filter pump to keep the water clear. Chemicals that may be required include:
1.
Tabular, granular or liquid chlorine. Disinfects the pool water and inhibits the growth of algae.
2.
pH balancing chemicals. Used to balance the pH level (makes the water more or less acidic).
3.
Algaecides. Chemicals that remove algae from the water.
4.
Shock chlorination. Eliminates certain organic and other compounds that can negatively affect the
clarity of the water.
