OPERATION
Inserting the battery
1.
Press on the battery compartment cover and pull to the right to open.
2.
Insert two 1.5V batteries LR44 (or equivalent) in the compartment. Replace the cover.
NOTE!
It is time to change batteries when the characters become faint in the character display.
When you change batteries, all data is lost and the pedometer is reset to default. Enter your
personal data again.
If nothing can be seen in the character display, or if the function display changes spontaneously
after changing the batteries, remove the batteries, wait for 15 seconds and then refit them. You can
also short circuit the battery terminals with a pair of tweezers, or similar, and then replace the
batteries.
Setting the measuring unit, step length and weight
1.
Press down the three buttons MODE, CAL and RESET at
the same time to select choice of measuring system
(metric/imperial). This mode can also be activated after
replacing the batteries.

CM (centimetres) flashes in the character display to
indicate that the metric measuring system has been
activated. Press the RESET button to alternate between
CM and inches Press the MODE button to confirm the
setting. The setting mode for step length starts flashing.

Press the RESET button to set the step length, and
confirm with the MODE button. The setting mode for
weight starts flashing.
4.
Press the RESET button to switch to the mode required:
Hold the button pressed to switch quickly. Press the
MODE button to confirm and return to pedometer mode.
NOTE!
When the step length is given in cm, the weight will automatically be given in kg and the distance in
km.
Enter the correct values for step length and weight; these are important to calculate the distance
and burning of calories.
The step length can be set from 25 to 150 cm (10–60 inches). The standard setting is 50 cm (20
inches). Every time you press RESET, the value increases by 1 until you reach the maximum
value, and then returns to the minimum value.
The weight can be set from 30 to 150 kg (65–60 pounds). The standard value is 50 kg (100
pounds). Every time you press RESET, the value increases by 1 until you reach the maximum
value, and then returns to the minimum value.
The setting mode will automatically close if no buttons are pressed for 30 seconds.
The step length varies, so you should set an average value.
