Toasted sandwiches
Plug in the power cord. The red indicator light comes on to show that the appliance is heating up.
Prepare the bread and filling while the appliance is heating.
Wait until the green indicator light comes on. The sandwich grill has now reached the correct
temperature and is ready for use.
For an even, golden brown result, spread butter on the side of the bread that comes into contact
with the grill surfaces.
Lay the slices of bread with the buttered side facing the lower grill surface, add the filling and then
add the upper slices with the buttered side facing up. It is also possible to grill just one sandwich.
For perfect results, the filling must be place in the middle of the bread so that nothing leaks out into
the grill.
Lower the upper grill surface carefully onto the bread until the sandwich grill is tightly closed.
Open the sandwich grill after 2
–3 minutes to see whether the bread is sufficiently toasted. The
cooking time is dependent on the type of bread, the filling and personal taste.
Use a spatula made of wood, plastic or similar (not metal) to lift the sandwich out of the grill. Do not
use sharp cooking utensils that can scratch the grill surfaces.
Unplug the power cord after use.
NOTE:
While cooking, the sandwich grill works to maintain an even temperature, which means that the
green indicator light goes on and off.
