SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use
Read these instructions carefully before use and save them for future reference.
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
Only connect to an earthed mains supply.
Position the appliance so that:

the power cord does not hang over the edge of the table or worktop

children cannot touch the appliance when it is in use

it is standing on a flat surface with free space on all sides.
Never allow the power cord to come in the vicinity of or in contact with the appliance’s hot
parts.
Always heat up the appliance before inserting the bread.
Unplug the power cord after use.
Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
Do not touch any metal parts, as these become very hot.
Do not allow any sharp or abrasive objects to come into contact with the grill surfaces, as
this can damage the non-stick surface.
Clean the appliance after use. Unplug the power cord and allow the appliance to cool.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Make sure that no water gets into the appliance.
A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than
8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
The appliance is not intended to be controlled with an external timer or separate remote
control.

USE
Before first use
Clean the grill surfaces with a damp cloth or sponge.
Lubricate the grill surfaces with a little butter or cooking oil.
Plug in the power cord and allow the appliance to heat up until the green indicator light comes on.
The appliance is ready for use.
NOTE:
When using for the first time, the sandwich grill make emit a little smoke. This is normal and is due
to the internal components being used for the first time.
