Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use!
IMPORTANT!
Consult an authorised service engineer if you are not sure about how to carry out the
installation. The equipment must not be modified in any way. Any modification of the equipment will void
the warranty and could also cause safety hazards.
INSTALLATION
1.
Place the transformer in a suitable location for installation (figure 1). The transformer can be used
outdoors.
2.
Run the low voltage cable according to the planned placement of the lamps (figure 1).
3.
Remove the glass diffusers by loosening the three screws (figure 2).
4.
Fit the light bulbs in the lamps (type JC4, max. 10 watts), see figure 3. Do not touch the bulbs with
your bare hands. If you do touch the bulbs, remove any fingerprints with denatured alcohol before
use.
5.
Put the glass diffusers back in place by tightening the screws (figure 4).
6.
Press the ground spikes with the lamps into the ground (figure 5). Dig a hole first if the soil is hard.
7.
Remove the top of the junction boxes and connect the lamp cables to the low voltage cable (figures
6 & 7). Make sure the cable is in contact with the contact pins.
8.
Screw the top into place on the junction boxes (figure 8).
9.
The low voltage cable insulation should now have been penetrated.
10.
Bury the cable in a shallow trench. Make sure that it cannot be severed or otherwise damaged.
11.
Connect the low voltage cable to the transformer. Tighten properly to ensure protection against
water intrusion in compliance with IP44.
12.
You can now turn on the power to test the system. All lamps should light. If not, turn the power off
and inspect all the connections and light bulbs. The cable insulation may not have been pierced by
the contact pins in the junction boxes. If this is the case, repeat Step 7.
WARNING!
Do not use the garden lighting if the power cord and/or plug are damaged in any way. For
safety reasons, the power cord must only be replaced or repaired by an authorised service centre.
Consult your dealer.
