5. MAINTENANCE AND CHECK
5.1 Routine Maintenance
The life of this unit depends on whether it undergoes adequate routine maintenance and check. It is suggested that
you periodically check the unit to maintain it always in the best condition. This prevents unit trouble.
Periodically perform the maintenance and checks listed in the table below.
ATTENTION
: Be sure to turn power off before servicing the unit
5.2 Troubleshooting
Stop operating this unit and contact your JRC product dealer or the JRC sales or service representative in your area,
if the following trouble occurs:
(1) Appropriate screen brightness cannot be obtained or power does not turn on.
No color display appears on the screen.
(2) Despite chart feed, no fishfinding video appears.
The display scrolls, but no fishfinding video (echoes) are displayed.
(3) Sensitivity is too low.
The fishfinding video signal level is lower than usual.
(4) No external dual display appears.
(5) External data is not displayed.
Maintenance and check items
The user must not check or repair the interior of this unit in any cases.
Servicing by persons other than qualified service engineers causes fire and/or
electrical shock.
Consign internal servicing to your JRC product dealer or the JRC sales or service
representative in your area.
Remove dirt from the panel surface, the controls, the switches, the top cover, and
the bottom cover, by wiping lightly with a dry cloth. Always keep the air vent holes
clean using a soft feather brush to ensure adequate ventilation.
Check for loose screws, nuts, controls, switches, connectors, etc. Reconnect any
loose parts securely.
Check all cable/wire connections and connector connections for looseness, and be
sure that all sections are connected properly.
Examine the cause before replacing a blown-out power fuse. Use a glass-tube fuse
(included in spares) as a replacement.
