3.OPERATIONS

Adjusting gain (GAIN)

The setting of the gain control and the receiver gain can be adjusted.

Adjust gain using the following procedure:

1

Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the 

and 

 keys together.

2

Move control to "INITIAL SETTING" by pressing the 

 or 

key, and display the INITIAL SETTING submenu by pressing the

 key.

3

Move control to "CALIBRATION" by pressing the 

 or 

 key,

and display the CALIBRATION submenu by pressing the 

 key.

4

Move control to "GAIN" by pressing the 

 or 

 key, and

display the GAIN submenu by pressing the 

 key.

5

Select either "HI" (high frequency) or "LO" (low frequency) by

pressing the 

 or 

 key.

6

Assign a gain correction value by pressing the 

 or 

 key.

Example: A correction value of 5 changes the gain level to 5 with

respect to the GAIN control setting of 0.

7

Press the 

MARK

 key to return to the INITIAL SETTING submenu.

8

Press the 

GRAPH

 key to return to the fishfinding display.

Correcting a water depth display error (SOUND SPEED)

Depending on underwater conditions, the sound velocity displayed may

slightly deviate from its actual value.  If this is the case, the displayed

water depth value will differ from an actual value.  Such an error can be

corrected by assigning a sound velocity correction value.

Assign a sound velocity correction value using the following procedure:

Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the 

and 

 keys together.

Move control to "INITIAL SETTING" by pressing the 

 or 

key, and display the INITIAL SETTING submenu by pressing the

 key.

3

Move control to "CALIBRATION" by pressing the 

 or 

 key,

and display the CALIBRATION submenu by pressing the 

 key.

4

Move control to "SOUND SPEED" by pressing the 

 or 

 key.

5

Assign a sound velocity correction value by pressing the 

 or

 key.

Example: +10 m/sec (standard sound velocity is 1,500 m/sec).

Press the 

MARK

 key to return to the INITIAL SETTING submenu.

7

Press the 

GRAPH

 key to return to the fishfinding display.
