MOUNTING THE CAPSULE IN THE BRACKET

Make sure the FB-40 bracket is mounted correctly on a rail and/or ship wall.

4.1

FB-40 BRACKET INSTALLATION AND MOUNTING

See Jotron “Tron 40VDR FF Capsule Installation Manual” for installation.

The Tron 40VDR Float Free Capsule should be installed in a location guided by

COMSAR.Circ 32 (Chapter 4.10)

WARNING:

Do not install the EPIRB near strong magnetic fields that could activate the beacon.

Make sure the FB-40

bracket is not damaged.

Place the Tron40VDR on

the Docking module and

gently press the unit into

the Stability-bracket.

Place the cover by fitting

it from the bottom first.

Mount the

safety clip to

securely hold the cover in

place. See chapter 4.2.2

for details.






