Chapter - Remove and Refit Procedures

Page Issue B

Water Pump - Dust Suppression

 

Removal and Refitting

 

 Isolate the water supply at the filter 

unit.

 

 Disconnect the feed and pressure 

water pipes (

A

) to the pump.

 

 Remove the 4 bolts (

B

) holding the 

water pump to the drive motor.

 

 Withdraw the pump assembly from 

the drive coupling (

C

).

 

 Refitting is the reverse procedure, 

ensure that the pump drive gear 

does not bottom in the drive 

coupling.

   

Note:

 It is possible to replace the 

pump diaphragms and valves with 

the pump in situ.

The hinged prop stowed beneath the body SHOULD BE USED AT ALL TIMES to prop 

the body when carrying out any inspection, servicing or maintenance work beneath the 

body.

Disconnect the battery negative lead before undertaking any of the following operations 

on the auxiliary pack. 

Isolate the air system at the filter regulator unit when working on the pneumatic system.

This section describes the removal and refitting of some of the major components on the machine. These are 

not routine jobs and should normally only need to be undertaken when overhauling or exchanging these units.
