Battery Installation
Notes:
• Always make sure that the detector is powered off before
removing and/or replacing batteries.
• Use only alkaline batteries.
• Remove the batteries when storing the
detector for an extended period of time
(more than three months) to avoid damage
to the tool should the batteries deteriorate.
1. Lift the battery cover latch up to open the
battery cover.
2. Insert four “AA” alkaline batteries into the
battery compartment according to the polarity illustrated inside.
3. Depress the battery cover until the battery cover latch clicks into
place.
The battery life indicator on the LCD screen will display the current
battery life:
Battery has 100% power
Battery has approximately 60% power
Battery has approximately 25% power
Battery has approximately 5% power, and new batteries are
needed
