Installation
Observe these guidelines when installing an FX-PCV1656
controller:
•
Transport the FX-PCV controller in the original
container to minimize vibration and shock damage to
the controller.
•
Do not drop the FX-PCV controller or subject it to
physical shock.
Important:
Do not install or use this an FX-PCV1656
in or near environments where corrosive
substances or vapors could be present.
Exposure of the electric actuator to
corrosive environments may damage the
internal components of the device, and will
void the warranty.

Installation Instructions
Materials and Special Tools Needed
•
T-20 TORX driver
•
1/4 in. flat-blade screwdriver
Mounting
Observe these guidelines when mounting an FX-PCV:
Note:
Protect the FX-PCV controller from dripping water,
condensation, and other moisture. Water or
moisture could result in an electrical short, which
may damage or affect the operation of the
controller.
•
Mount the FX-PCV in an area free of corrosive vapors
that matches the ambient conditions specified in the
section.
•
Provide sufficient space around the FX-PCV for cable
and wire connections and adequate ventilation
through the controller (at least 50 mm [2 in.] on the
top, bottom, sides and front of the controllers).
•
Do not mount the FX-PCV in areas where
electromagnetic emissions from other devices or
wiring can interfere with controller communication.
If installing the FX-PCV1656 with a ball valve as a new
installation, skip to Step 5. If replacing an existing
FX-PCV1656 controller, use the following instructions
from the beginning:
1.
Remove 24 VAC power input to existing FX-PCV
controller.
2.
Label all wiring on existing FX-PCV controllers and
then remove all wire connections.
3.
Remove existing FX-PCV controller by using a T-20
TORX driver or 1/4 in. flat-blade screwdriver to
loosen the M4x60 machine screw located in the
handle of the actuator assembly.
4.
Remove the existing FX-PCV assembly from the
valve.
5.
Turn the valve stem to the following position.
