Platform Control Indicator Panel

(See Figure 3-11., Platform Control Indicator Panel)

NOTE:

The indicator  lights will illuminate  for  approximately 1 second
when the key is positioned to the on position to act as a self test.

1.

System Distress Indicator

The  light  indicates  that  the  JLG  Control  System
has detected an abnormal condition and a Diag

-

nostic  Trouble  Code  has  been  set  in  the  system  memory.
Refer to the Service Manual for instructions concerning the
trouble codes and trouble code retrieval.

2.

Drive Orientation Indicator

When the boom is swung beyond the rear drive
tires or further in either direction, the Drive Ori

-

entation indicator will illuminate when the drive function is
selected. This  is a  signal  for  the  operator  to  verify  that  the
drive control is being operated in the proper direction  (i.e.
controls reversed situations).

3.

Platform Capacity Zone Indicator

Indicates the platform capacity zone for the cur

-

rent  position  of  the  platform.  Restricted  capaci

-

ties are permitted at restricted platform positions
(shorter boom lengths and higher boom angles).

4.

Tilt Alarm Warning Light and Alarm

This red illuminator indicates the chassis is on a
slope.  If  the  boom  is  above  horizontal  and  the
machine is on a slope, the tilt alarm warning light will illumi

-

nate, an alarm will sound, available functions are placed in
Creep speed, and drive is cut out in the direction of travel.
Drive  in  the opposite direction  may  be  allowed under cer

-

tain conditions.

IF  TILT  WARNING  LIGHT  IS  ILLUMINATED  WHEN  BOOM  IS  RAISED  OR  EXTENDED,
RETRACT AND LOWER TO BELOW HORIZONTAL THEN REPOSITION MACHINE SO THAT
IT IS LEVEL BEFORE EXTENDING BOOM OR RAISING BOOM ABOVE HORIZONTAL.
