GENERAL INFORMATION
This user’s manual for the SX8 Series Optical Switch contains complete
operating instructions. The SX8 Series Optical Switch can be ordered as
a single-‐mode or multimode model. The inspection report and a
description of any customer-‐requested information can be found in the
Test Report document envelope.
The SX8 Series Optical Switches offer low insertion loss, and very high
stability and repeatability needed to meet the stringent test,
measurement, and manufacturing system requirements.
In addition to manual front panel operation, the SX8 switch may be
operated over the RS-‐232 serial interface and IEEE 488 GPIB parallel
interface. Please refer to the PROGRAMMING GUIDE section on page 15
for more information.
