Task
New functions are to be added to an installed JVM-104-O15. To this end, the fol-
lowing modifications are required:

Operating system update
■
New application program
■
New values for some of the registers
Solution
You copy the required files to a USB flash drive and create a command file for
the Autostart function.

The USB flash drive contains the following files:

The new OS
■
A *.da file containing the new register values

start.ini
file and a *.es3 file containing the new application program

File format
The data file consists of the following elements:

Pure text file
■
Each entry must be in a separate line of text
■
Each line must be completed by carriage return/line feed
■
Comment lines must be preceded by ";"

Each data file must start with the entry

A data line consists of the following elements:

ID of the variable at the beginning of the line
■
Now follows the number of the variable separated by a blank or tab

Then follows the value of the variable separated by a blank or tab
