7.6 Multi-purpose inputs
Introduction The special registers of the HMI have got the functions listed below:
■ Programming multi-purpose inputs
■ Programming multi-purpose outputs
■ Retrieving the hardware and software version for I/O functions
Placeholder x Placeholder x is for clearer representation. The table below shows how place-
holders are used to address individual inputs. Throughout this chapter the follow-
ing rules apply:

crements]
