The use of optical instruments
with this product will increase eye hazard.

Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the
laser. If unqualified persons attempt to
repair this laser product, serious injury may
result. Any repair required on this laser
product should be performed by authorized
service center personnel.
Operation
Before attempting any operation
with your miter saw, make sure that you have
read and thoroughly understand the warnings
contained on pages 4-5 and the
Compound
Miter Saw Safety
section on page 6. Failure to
comply may result in serious injury!
Starting a cut
1. Place hands at least 8-3/4 in. away from the
path of the blade.
2. Hold workpiece firmly against the fence to
prevent movement toward the blade.
3. Bring the saw blade down to the workpiece to
see the cutting path of the blade.
4. Squeeze
the
trigger switch
(A, Fig. 23) to start
saw.
5. Lower blade into workpiece with a firm
downward motion.
Finishing a cut
1. Hold the cutting arm in the down position.
2. Release trigger switch (A, Fig. 23) and wait for
all moving parts to stop before moving your
hands and raising the cutting arm.
3. If the blade does not stop within 10 seconds,
unplug the saw and follow the instructions in
the
Troubleshooting
section.
If material becomes jammed
1. Release trigger switch.
2. Wait for all moving parts to stop.
3. Unplug the miter saw.
To Turn the Saw On
Depress the trigger switch (A, Fig. 23).
Note:
Make the On/Off switch child-proof by
inserting a padlock through the hole (B, Fig. 23) in
the trigger switch.
The miter saw is equipped with an automatic blade
brake. When the trigger switch is released, the
electric blade brake will stop the blade within
approximately 10 seconds.
