Dispose of the packing in an 
environmentally friendly manner. 

Clean all rust protected surfaces with 
a mild solvent. 

Stand assembly (Option) 

(Article No.: 708438) 

Mount the legs to the outside of the 
supports, using 16 carriage bolts and 
nuts (Fig 1)

Mounting the table 

Remove the knobs (A, Fig 2), washers 
(B) and the trunnion holders(C) on 
both sides.

Lift the table (D) into position. 

Reinstall the trunnion holders, 
washers and knobs. 

 

 

Mounting the dust port 

Place the gasket (E, Fig 3) and mount 
the dust port (F) to the sander with 
four M6x16 hex cap bolts (G).

Attach the sanding disc guard (O, Fig 
4) with two screws (N).

5.3 Mains connection 

Mains connection and any extension 
cords used must comply with 
applicable regulations. 
The mains voltage must comply with 
the information on the machine 
licence plate.  

The mains connection must have a 10 
A surge-proof fuse. 

Only use power cords marked 
H07RN-F 

Connections and repairs to the 
electrical equipment may only be 
carried out by qualified electricians.  

 

5.4 Dust connection 

Before initial operation, the machine 
must be connected to a dust collector. 

The suction should switch on 
automatically when the belt sander is 
switched on. 

Flexible hoses must be of non-
flammable quality, and must be 
connected to the dust collector ground 
system. 

Mounting canister filter (Option) 

(Article No.: 708434) 

The disc sander has a built in fan 
designed to suck the saw dust away 
from the sanding disc and exhaust 
through the dust port. 

Remove the dust port that came with 
the sander. 

Mount the plastic elbow (A, Fig 5) to 
the sander using the same hardware 
(B) from the dust port. 

Connect the filter (C) to the elbow and 
turn counter-clockwise so that it locks 
in place.

Warning: 

Static electricity will build up in the 
filter during operation. The filter 
ground must be attached to the 
machine ground, and to the filter.  
Failure to comply may result in 
fire/loss of property, or personal 
injury. 

Attach the end of the grounding wire 
to the screw (D). 

Attach the grounding clip (E) to the 
metal part of the filter.  
This will prevent static electricity. 

 

5.5 Starting operation 

You can start the machine with the 
green ON-button. The red OFF-button 
on the main switch stops the machine. 

After you have turned “OFF” the 
sander you can press the brake (B, 
Fig 5) to stop the sanding disc rapidly.
