3. Tap the TUNE +
/- button to select your local weather station.
4. Tap the WB ALERT button to enter Weather Alert standby mode. The radio will turn off
and “ALERT” appears on the display above the clock.
5. The unit will turn on automatically when there is an alert message from the National
Weather Service. The “ALERT” icon on the display and the ALERT LED will be flashing
to let you know an emergency broadcast was received.
6. Tap the WB Alert button again to turn off flashing Alert LED and “ALERT” icon.
7. Tap the AM, FM or WB button to turn off the NOAA Alert.
The Weather Alert feature is available when powering the unit using the included AC
adaptor or battery power (batteries not included).
Note:
1.) The radio will continue to drain the battery if it's left in Weather Standby Mode,
so it is highly recommended that you use the included AC-AC adaptor to
prevent the battery from completely draining and turning the radio off while in
use. See the POWER SOURCE section above for more information on the
AC-AC adaptor.
2.) NOAA Weather band is a service broadcast of the U.S. Government and
available in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
3.) The NOAA Weather Service broadcasts a test alert every Wednesday
between 11 am and Noon. To receive the broadcasts, the radio must be within
the range of the local broadcast site, 10 - 40 miles, depending on terrain and
obstructions.

DIMMER

The dimmer feature is only available when the radio is ON. Tap the DIMMER button to
select bright, dim or off for the display.
•
When in standby mode, tap the DIMMER button to temporarily light the display for 10
seconds.
