3.  Do not mix old and new batteries. 
4.  Do  not  mix  alkaline,  standard  (carbon-zinc)  or  rechargeable  (nickel-cadmium) 

batteries. 

5.  If the  unit  is  not  to  be  used  for  an  extended  period  of  time,  remove  the  batteries. 

Old or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty. 

6.  Do  not  try  to  recharge  batteries  not  intended  to  be  recharged;  they  can  overheat 

and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions). 

7.  Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may leak or explode. 

 
 

IMPORTANT: LED DISPLAY DIMMER CONTROL 

 
If the LED display is OFF or very dim when you first plug the unit it, you will need to 
adjust the ROTARY DIMMER CONTROL (#20) located on the back of the unit.  
 
Rotate the ROTARY DIMMER CONTROL (#20) to set the brightness of the display 
before proceeding. You can readjust the dimmer control later to make it brighter or 
dimmer if needed.  

 
 

STANDBY MODE 

 
Standby Mode is when the unit is first plugged into an AC power source (display 
flashing), or after all the settings have been made and the time is showing on the 
display. The radio is off, no buttons are pressed and no alarms are sounding.  

 
 

SETTING THE TIME 

 
The display will be flashing when the unit is plugged in for the first time. Tap the TIME 

SET BUTTON (#14) to go to the Time Set Mode.

  

 

Setting the Time 

1.  In standby mode, Press 

the TIME SET 

BUTTON (#14)

 until the hour digits of the 

clock display begins to flash.

 

2.  Repeatedly tap the 

 UP BUTTON (#19) or 

 DOWN BUTTON (#11) to set the 

hour. Press and hold the buttons for fast advance/reverse setting. Make sure the 
correct AM or PM time is selected when setting the hour. 

 
Note:

 The PM INDICATOR (#10) is located in the lower part of the display and 

centered below the “ : ” that separates the hour digits from the minute digits. The 
PM INDICATOR (#10) will light when the hour digits selected are for PM time. The 
PM INDICATOR (#10) will be off when the hour digits selected are for AM time.

to confirm the time and the minute digits will 

blink. 

4.   Repeatedly tap the 

 UP BUTTON (#19) or 

 DOWN BUTTON (#11) to set the 

minute. Press and hold the buttons for fast advance/reverse setting. 

5.  Tap the TIME 

SET 

BUTTON (#14) to confirm and complete the time setting. The 

display will stop blinking. 

 
Note: 

The unit will automatically save the settings and exit the time set mode if you do 

not press any buttons within 10 seconds.
