VARIOSCAN 

high resolution

 is a thermographic system for the 

wavelength ranges of 2 – 5 µm (Model 3022) and 8 – 12 µm (Model 
3021). Thus the system covers both atmospheric windows. 

The camera operates on the principle of object scanning. The object is 
scanned through a two-dimensional reflecting scanner. 

The horizontal scanner scans in lines, with 360 pixels each being 
recorded at a frequency of 135 Hz. This scanner operates as a 
resonance oscillator driven by a DC motor.
