CARE & MAINTENANCE OF SIDE BURNER
SIDE BURNER CLEANING:
Clean the exterior of the burner with a wire brush. Clear any clogged burner ports with a straightened paper clip.
Never enlarge the burner ports. Never use a wooden toothpick as it may break off and clog the port.
STAINLESS STEEL:
There are many different stainless steel cleaners available. Always use the mildest cleaning procedure first,
scrubbing in the direction of the grain. Do not use steel wool, as it will scratch the surface. To touch up
noticeable scratches in the stainless steel, sand very lightly with dry 100 grit sand paper in the direction of the
grain.
SIDE BURNER GRATE:
The top burner grate is stainless steel. To avoid burns do not clean a hot grate. They may be wiped while in
place with hot, soapy water, rinsed and wiped dry. Never immerse a hot grate in water.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
SPIDER AND INSECT WARNING!!!
Spiders and insects can nest in the burners of the
grill and cause the gas to flow from the front of the
burner. This is a very dangerous condition, which
can cause a fire to occur behind the valve panel,
thereby damaging the grill and making it unsafe to
operate.
WHEN TO LOOK FOR SPIDERS
You should inspect the burners at least once a year
or immediately after any of the following conditions
occur:
1. The smell of gas in conjunction with the burner
flames appearing yellow.
2. The grill does not reach temperature.
3. The grill heats unevenly.
4. The burners make popping noises.
BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
