or rotate the door lock button until the lock
indicator is hidden. To unlock the rear doors,
rotate the door lock button until the lock
indicator is hidden.
If the door lock button is locked (lock indica-
tor visible) when you shut the door, the door
will remain locked. Therefore, make sure the
key fob is not inside the vehicle before clos-
ing the door.
NOTE:
The manual door locks will not lock or unlock
the liftgate.
WARNING!
• For personal security and safety in the
event of a collision, lock the vehicle
doors before you drive as well as when
you park and exit the vehicle.
• When exiting the vehicle, always remove
the key fob from the vehicle and lock
your vehicle. If equipped with Keyless
Go — Ignition, always make sure the
keyless ignition node is in “OFF” mode,
remove the key fob from the vehicle and
lock the vehicle. Unsupervised use of

vehicle equipment may cause severe
personal injuries or death.
• Never leave children alone in a vehicle,
or with access to an unlocked vehicle.
Allowing children to be in a vehicle un-
attended is dangerous for a number of
reasons. A child or others could be seri-
ously or fatally injured. Children should
be warned not to touch the parking
brake, brake pedal or the gear selector.
• Do not leave the key fob in or near the
vehicle, or in a location accessible to
children, and do not leave the ignition of
a vehicle equipped with Keyless Go —
Ignition the ACC or ON/RUN mode. A
child could operate power windows,
other controls, or move the vehicle.
Power Door Locks
A power door lock switch is located on each of
the front door trim panels. Use this switch to
lock or unlock the doors, liftgate and fuel
door.
If you push the power door lock switch while
the ignition is in the ON/RUN position, and
any door or the liftgate is open, the power
locks will not operate. This prevents you from
accidentally locking the key fob in the ve-
hicle. Placing the ignition in the OFF position
or closing the doors and liftgate will allow the
locks to operate. If the driver door is open,
and the ignition is in the RUN position, a
chime will sound as a reminder to remove the
key.
