Press the
Home
navigation key to return to the measure-
ment results menu.
The wavelengths you specified appear in the list.
Editing a
wavelength
If your desired wavelength is not included on the wavelength
table menu, you can edit the existing wavelengths.
To edit a wavelength
1
Use the up or down arrow keys to select a wavelength.
2
Press the
Edit
soft key.
The selected wavelength is highlighted and a text box
appears for editing the wavelength.
3
Type in the new wavelength, and then press the
OK
key.
The table will be updated and the selected wavelength will
become active.
Modulated light
The OLP-3057 automatically detects the modulation
frequency of light signals modulated at the fixed frequencies
270 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz. CW is displayed if it is a constant
wave.
Auto lambda
recognition
Auto lambda is a special feature invented by JDSU to identify
wavelengths automatically. Therefore, the signal is modulated
(in a light source equipped with Auto lambda [also called
“AUTO
λ
”], like the JDSU OLS-55/-56) by a certain frequency,
which can be detected by the OLP-3057.
It may not be possible to detect wavelengths reliably if the
following issues occur.
– if the receive level is too low
