Trailer Units - Model 3875/31000

 

 

C.  After operating for 5 hours and 10 hours: 

 

•

 

Retorque all wheel nuts, fasteners, and hardware. 

•

 

Check that auger turns freely. 

•

 

Check the auger.  Remove all string, twine, or other entangled material. 

•

 

Proceed with normal servicing and maintenance schedule as defined in the 
Maintenance Section. 

EQUIPMENT MATCHING 

 
The machine is designed to be used with Agricultural tractors.  To ensure a good 
performance, the following list of specifications must be met: 
 

1.  Horsepower: 

The minimum horsepower that is required for a JAY

•

LOR

  Model  3875  Cutter-Mixer-

Feeder is 

120HP with a 2-speed transmission or 150HP without a 2-speed 

transmission. 
 

The minimum horsepower that is required  for a JAY

•

LOR

  Model 31000 Cutter-Mixer-

Feeder is 

130HP with a 2-speed transmission or 160HP without a 2-speed 

transmission. 

 

2.  PTO Shaft: 

The tractor PTO Shaft must meet the following specifications: 
 

1000 RPM – 21-spline, 1-3/8” diameter 

or 

1000 RPM – 20-spline, 1-3/4” diameter 

 

Important:  It is not recommended that shaft adaptors be used on the tractor shaft to 

prevent operating at the wrong RPM. 

 
3.  Drawbar Dimensions: 

The tractor drawbar 
dimension must be 

16 

inches

  between the end of 

the shaft and drawbar pin 
hole center for 1000 RPM 
units equipped with a 1-3/8” 
diameter PTO Shaft. 
 
The tractor drawbar 
dimension must be 

20 

inches

  between the end of 

the shaft and drawbar pin 
hole for 1000 RPM units
