8.4.5 Rotational Direction
2 sensors must be connected to determine direction. The sensor signals should ideally exhibit a phase shift of
90° (10° minimum). For reliable operation digital sensors generating square wave signals are preferred,
alternatively clean sine-wave signals. The sensors must be configured accordingly. See 3.2.1 Sensor Inputs.
Clockwise direction (S1 before S2) is defined as: S2 generates a positive going edge whilst S1 is high.

Counter clockwise direction (S2 before S1) is defined as: S2 generates a positive going edge whilst S1 is low.

8.4.6 Creep Detection
This function allows discrimination between pole wheel rotation and jitter (vibration). Following a reset
command via Binary input the sequence of the first 4 pulses is checked i.e. S1 > S2 > S1 > S2. The sequence
may start with S1 or S2. Should irregularities arise after the first 4 pulses then that would not be recognised.

order of these four pulses isn’t correct.

To check for shaft rotation again the creep detector needs to be reset via binary input (defined under 7.7.3
Configure binary input).
