5  Installation 

Series T601 tachometers may only be installed by competent personnel. Only undamaged and correctly 
configured units may be used. Please note the safety instructions in chapter 1 Safety notice.  
 
They should be connected to the power supply by means of an isolating switch and correspond to protection 
class I. The PE terminal must therefore be earthed. 
 
Before switching on check that the supply is within the permissible range. 
 
The sensor cable screens must be connected to the terminals „Sh1“ and „Sh2“ respectively so as to minimize 
the effects of signal noise. These terminals are internally connected to 0V (not PE). 
 

Attention: 

If the password has been changed, there is no way of returning to a factory setup. If the password 

is forgotten, you have to send in the tachometer and the Jaquet-Service-Team will set it back.
