Section 3  Components 

 
This section describes the configuration of JUE-60GX and connected equipment. 
 
 

3.1   Above Deck Equipment (ADE) 

 
The radome covers the antenna equipment, which is composed of: 
•  Above deck unit with built in Antenna Interface Module (AIM) 
•  Antenna pedestal 
•  Block UP Converter (BUC) 
•  GPS antenna 
•  Low Noise Block (LNB) 
•  Rotary joint 
The above deck equipment (ADE) is connected to the below deck equipment (BDE) with two coaxial 
cables. Control signals and power to the above deck equipment (ADE) are transmitted through the 
coaxial cable on the RX side.
