Problems and probable causes

Countermeasures

Overheating:

Low coolant level
Fatigued pressure valve spring
Loose or broken fan belt
Oily fan belt
Poor thermostat
Poor water pump or water leaks
Clogged water passages
Improper injection timing
Clogged air ways
Fuel gas enters water jacket due to broken cylinder
gasket.

Replenish coolant and inspect water leaks.
Replace radiator cap.
Adjust belt tension or replace.
