In a situation whereby you have a
discharged battery and can’t fully
operate the JackaJay controller, you are
advised to charge your battery or obtain
an external power supply.
If you are unable to charge your battery
you will need to use the provided jumper
lead. Use as follows:

Using the JackaJay Jumper Lead
Confirm that the battery source you are using is 12V DC.
Commonly your car battery.
Turn the JackaJay controller OFF using the push button on the
front of the controller. Refer to section 3.2 for details.
Unplug the POWER lead (the smaller left plug under the ON /OFF
button) from the bottom of the controller. Do this by gently sliding
the dust cover down, and then push in the clip and pull the plug
downward. The lead / plug should come away.
Connect the battery clamps on the jumper lead to the battery.
The controller must be turned OFF prior to disconnecting or reconnecting any
power supply to the JACKAJAY controller.
Do not pull too hard, if the retaining clip is in the correct position the plug will
pull out easily.
