4.4.2 TAXIING
When taxiing, it is important that speed and use of brakes be kept to a minimum and
that all controls be utilized ( see Taxiing Diagram, Figure 4.1 ) to maintain directional
control and balance.
The carburettor heat control knob should be pushed full IN (that is, NOT selected)
during all ground operations unless heat is absolutely necessary.
Taxiing over loose gravel or cinders should be done at low engine speed to avoid
abrasion and stone damage to the propellor.
DO NOT accelerate over loose gravel or cinders or propeller damage will result.
