For the purposes of photography only, the actuator’s cover has been disconnected and removed, do not disassemble to install BSR under normal circumstances.

Step 4
Fit BSR printed circuit board ensuring that the connecting plug
and socket are fully pushed home.
Secure with screw from plastic bag as indicated in the yellow
ring in Photograph 4.

Step 5
Fit the black plastic jumper as shown in Photograph 5 onto
the main circuit board for ‘fail closed’ function on loss of ex-
ternal power. For ‘fail open’, do not fit the jumper.
The jumper fits on the left side pins in the location shown.

Installation complete - the J3C Model 140 or 300
will now function as a FAILSAFE electric actuator
following initial 27 hour charge before being put
into service.
