This ca tegory determines which drive to sea rch first for the disk opera ting system
(i.e., DOS). Defa ult va lue is A,C.
C,A System will first sea rch for ha rd disk drive then floppy disk
drive.
A,C System will first sea rch for floppy disk drive then ha rd disk
drive.
CDROM, C, A System will first sea rch for CDROM drive, then ha rd disk
drive a nd then floppy disk drive.
C, CDROM, A System will first sea rch for ha rd disk drive , then CDROM
drive, a nd then floppy disk drive.
This item a llows you to determine whether ena ble the swa p floppy drive or not.
The choice: Ena bled/Disa bled.
During POST, BIOS will determine if the floppy disk drive insta lled is 40 or 80
tra cks. 360K type is 40 tra cks while 760K, 1.2M a nd 1.44M a re a ll 80 tra cks.
Ena bled BIOS sea rches for floppy disk drive to determine if it is 40 or 80
tra cks. Note tha t BIOS ca n not tell from 720K, 1.2M or 1.44M
drive type a s they a re a ll 80 tra cks.
Disa bled BIOS will not sea rch for the type of f loppy disk drive by track
number. Note tha t there will not be a ny wa rning messa ge if the
drive insta lled is 360K.
