Air handling with the focus on LCC
1 General
1.1 Intended use
The Envistar Top unit series of air handling units is designed for comfort ventila-
tion in buildings.
1.2 Safety regulations
Observe the warning signs on the air handling unit as well as the following safety
regulations:
Lockable safety isolating switch
WARNING!
High voltage and rotating fan impeller, risk of personal injury.
Before you modify/service the unit
–
Switch off the air handling
unit from the controls (micro terminal), then turn the safety iso-
lating switch to the 0 position and lock it.
N.B!
The safety isolating switch is not sized for starting/stopping the air
handling unit. The control equipment must be used for this purpose.
Inspection doors
WARNING!
Positive pressure inside the unit, risk of personal injury. Wait
and allow the pressure to drop before you open the inspection
doors.
WARNING!
Rotating fan impeller, risk of personal injury. Switch of the air
handling unit and wait at least 3 minutes before you open the
inspection doors.
N.B!
Doors in front of moving parts should normally be locked; there are no
safety guards behind them. When you need to carry out work inside the
unit, unlock the doors with the key supplied.
Electrical connections
WARNING!
Rotating fan impeller, risk of personal injury. The air handling
unit must not be energised until all the ducts are connected.
N.B!
Electrical connections and other electro-technical work should only be
carried out by qualified electricians or by service personnel selected by
IV Produkt.
