To replace the fuse in the UK mains test lead:
Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to unclip the fuse carrier
from the underside of the BS

plug.
Remove the fuse from the fuse carrier.
Fit a new fuse of the type specified in Sect.
3

Refit the fuse carrier to the plug.
Connect the test lead to the instrument and check for correct
operation.

Cleaning, repair and calibration

To clean the instrument, use a damp cloth moistened with
water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives, strong
cleaning agents or solvents such as Petrol, Turpentine or
Alcohol, as these may damage the plastic surfaces. Ensure
the instrument is completely dry before switching on.

If this instrument requires repair, return it to your nearest
RS Components distributor. Please return the instrument
with all accessories and provide full details of the fault. For
further information, contact RS Component; the address is
given at the end of these instructions.

To ensure accurate and reliable operation of this
instrument, calibration should be carried out every

months, or more frequently if subject to heavy use or
the instrument is suspected of being inaccurate. Ensure
all accessories and leads are included with the returned
instrument, as they form part of the calibration procedure.

Case, strap, shoulder-pad and test-lead pouch
assembly
Assemble the shoulder strap through the case lugs and the
test lead pouch as follows:

Pass the strap down through
the first lug, under the case
and up through the second lug.

Slide the shoulder pad onto
the strap
3
Feed the strap down through
the slots in the back of the
test lead pouch.

Pass the strap through the buckle,
adjust the strap for length and
secure.
