3. ATTACHING THE DRIVE SHAFT

SCMA54,48F

Hold the ring of the universal joint pressed in one side
the joint onto the PTO shaft while aligning the splines.
Assemble the joint cover with four bolts (type-F2)

(1) Mower

deck (3) Ring

(2) Drive

shaft

IMPORTANT: After inserting the universal joint of the

drive shaft onto the side PTO shaft of
the front mower, make sure that the ring
of the universal joint is pushed out by
spring force, seated in the groove in the
PTO shaft, and the universal joint does
not come out.

4. DETACHING THE MOWER DECK

Detach the mower deck in reverse order of attaching:
Remove the drive shaft first and then the mower deck.

CAUTION:
Be sure to disconnect the universaljoint on
the PTO shaft of the front mower.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to keep the removed parts.

5. ATTACHING THE DRIVE SHAFT

SMM54F

Hold the ring of the universal joint pressed in one side

Detach the mower deck in reverse order of attaching:

IMPORTANT: Be sure to keep the removed parts.
