NOTE:
Always connect the adapter cable to the computer
after
connecting to the drive. To disconnect, always
remove the adapter cable from the computer
first
.
For the best performance, connect the FireWire cable directly to your computer. You can use any 6-pin FireWire
port. See the
FireWire Guidelines
for important information.
The drive can be connected or disconnected while the computer is on.
To prevent any data loss
, stop the drive
before disconnecting the FireWire adapter cable or power supply from drive. Make sure all files, folders or
programs that are on the Iomega drive are closed.

4. Connect the power supply to the power cord, then connect the power supply to the drive.
NOTE:
Plug the power cord into a power strip or outlet last.
