NON-EQUAL TEMPERAMENTS
Another feature of the Sanderson Accu-Tuner is the ability to alter tunings and add different
temperaments without having to physically alter all 88 notes of a tuning. The Temperament
pages allow a technician to store the rules of a temperament for twelve notes and select any
tuning and alter the tuning with the selected temperament automatically. If the temperament
page is selected before calculating the FAC tuning, the tuning will be stored to memory with the
rules of the temperament added/subtracted to each of the notes as it is stored into memory. Now
it is possible to develop your own temperaments and try them out on any piano.
STORING A TEMPERAMENT
Select a TEMPERAMENT page for storage by using the PAGE buttons to go above page 198 of
regular pages of memory, above Sequence pages (SE 1,2,3,4), the next page of memory
displays 1-7t, and the following page (after “1-7t”) displays “8-14”. Octave 1 on PAGE 1-7t is the
first temperament storage location; the chart below lists where the stored temperaments
correspond to the temperament number:

Previously with the Accu-Tuner IV, you would use the PAGE button to go up above the regular
pages of memory until you reached the temperament page 1-7t, or 8-14t then select the correct
octave to enter the non-equal temperament offsets. With the Accu-Tuner IV there is a more direct
