Swelling tapes supplement the barrier system by lexibly illing gaps and joints between
components and the masonry. On site they are often also used as rain and water vapour
barriers.
adhesive
Adhesive is used between different ilms to safeguard the structure in the long-term.
These wall layers, if presents, must also be connected to the wall sleeve. Different materials,
systems and auxiliary materials are provided for this purpose. Generally, only tested and
approved materials should be used and the manufacturer's processing information should be
thoroughly read before use.

Creating the wall opening/plaster groove
CaUTion
falling masonry while making wall opening.
Personal injury and/or material damage!
► Provide protection against falling masonry on the outside of the building.
► Remove objects from immediate vicinity of the outside of the building.

Condensate collecting in the wall sleeve.
Damage to the external wall and masonry!
► Incline wall opening at an angle
of 1 –
2° to the external wall.

Plaster/wall groove positioned incorrectly.
Correct installation of the fan cable is not possible!

Position the plaster/wall groove as close as possible to 45° to the bottom left or 45° to
the top right of the wall opening.

Maintenance of the ventilation unit is not possible!
► Do not it wall opening in areas with radiators.
► Ensure wall opening has a minimum distance of ≥ 300 mm to head-on neighbouring parts.

Correct installation of the inner cover/weather protection hood WSH 09 is not possible!
► Inner wall: Ensure wall opening has minimum distance of ≥ 250 mm (Corner: 155 mm) to
neighbouring parts.
► Exterior wall: Ensure wall opening has minimum distance of ≥ 450 mm to neighbouring parts.
