Tracer® EX2

Replacing Rear Wheel Handrim

WARNING

Wheelchairs with 300 lbs weight limit: DO NOT use composite handrims. Otherwise injury or

damage may occur.
If the wheelchair is equipped with permanent axles, this procedure MUST be performed by a

qualified technician.

NOTE:

For

this

procedure,

refer

FIGURE 7.2.

Remove

the

rear

wheel

from

the

wheelchair.

Refer

Removing/Installing

Rear

Wheels

Remove

the

mounting

screws

that

secure

the

handrim

the

rear

wheel.

Remove

the

existing

handrim.

Install

the

new

handrim

reversing

the

preceding

steps.

WARNING

Make sure detent pin and detent balls of the quick-release axles are fully released before operat-

ing the wheelchair.

Reinstall

rear

wheel

the

wheelchair.
