5.3 Installing/Removing/Adjusting the Swingaway
Padded Armrest
Installing the Swingaway Padded Armrest
1.
Secure mounting bolt

and locknut

in desired mounting hole

. Tighten securely.

Insert swing away padded armrest

into armrest socket

Removing the Swingaway Padded Armrest

Remove swing away padded armrest

from armrest socket

Adjusting Height of the Swingaway Padded Armrest
1.
Remove the swing away padded armrest

from the armrest
socket

2.
Remove the mounting bolt

and locknut

mounted in the
armrest socket.
3.
Reposition mounting bolt
A
to one of three positions

in the
armrest socket depending on the desired height.
4.
Install locknut
B
and securely tighten.
5.
Reinstall the swing away padded armrest
D
into the armrest
socket

6.
Repeat STEPS 1-5 for the opposite side, if necessary.
5.4 Installing the T-Arm Sockets
1.
Remove the rear wheels. Refer to 5.7 Removing/Installing Rear
Wheels, page 52.
2.
Position the inner T-arm bracket

on the wheelchair frame .
The inner T-arm bracket
A
MUST be positioned on the
outside of the wheelchair frame .
3.
Install the mounting screws

and washers

through the inner
T-arm bracket

and loosely tighten.
4.
Tighten the mounting screws and washers

that secure the
inner T-arm bracket
A
to the wheelchair frame .
5.
Position T-arm bracket inserts

between inner and outer
T-arm brackets.
6.
Secure the outer T-arm bracket

to the inner T-arm bracket
A
with the socket screws

and washers

7.
Repeat STEPS 2-6 for the opposite side of the wheelchair.
8.
Install the T-arms into the T-arm sockets. Refer to 5.5
Installing/Removing T-Arms, page 51.
